Hi, I'm Raquel Vera, an Engineering Manager with a passion for building both scalable platforms and strong teams. Over the years, I've worked in different industries and organizations, from small to large organizations, where I have learned that it is not only technology driving impact but people.

This space, Platform & People, is where I will share my thoughts and values related with Engineering, leadership and teams. My goal is to explore how we can:

• Lead with clarity and empathy
• Build platforms that enable teams and viceversa
• Create spaces where individuals can grow, contribute and feel there is purpose
• Align engineering work with business value and impact as there is not one without the other

I believe leadership is not about titles, but enabling others to have an impact. Writing here I want to contribute to those first time Engineering managers that do not know where to start. I hope my experience can help to reduce the initial feeling of loneliness.
